Goals

As part of an upcoming post (or previous post depending on when you look at this) on the 100 Hour Board I made the goal of updating my blog or writing in my journal at least one a month for the next year.  I will do my best to keep this relatively updated. Since I'm going to use an electronic journal for my journal in the next year I hope to have regular updates throughout the year (in theory it should be easy to cut and paste something I had already written).  If nothing else I'm going to use this blog as my reporting mechanism on my other goals which are:
  • Be down to my ideal weight of 150 lbs.
  • Score a 700 or higher on the GMAT
  • Be accepted into a top 50 business school for my MBA
  • Read both the Book of Mormon and the New Testament through in both English and German
  • Not be living in Pittsburgh, PA.
  • Break 80 on the golf course
  • Learn to play at least 10 hymns on the piano
  • Call my mother at least once a week to tell her I love her
Feel free to follow up with me and give encouragement. The first major milestone on this will be the GMAT, which I am taking on June 12th. Remembering the schedule the exam was relatively easy.  Now, I just need to find a way to motivate myself to actually study.  Any ideas on how to make oneself study for something?

Awesome goals, Art! I would love to talk nutrition, if you want/if that would help with your weight goal. I have no advice on how to motivate oneself to study, but a lazy way I study is by writing important things to memorize on Post-It notes and sticking them everywhere. I'm a visual learner, though, and a little kinetic, so this incorporates both.
